FAQs

Q: What is the difference between “natural” and “organic” products?

A: “Natural” products don’t have any regulation, so any company can name their products “natural” if they have a few ingredients that come from the earth. Natural products range from companies trying to do the right thing to hundreds of personal care companies that are simply using the term “natural” for marketing purposes.

On the other hand, certified organic products are regulated to ensure that botanical products were grown in a chemical- free environment and all steps from paddock to store meet the same rigorous guidelines. There are strict regulations and quality of standards that which must be upheld for a product to earn a certified organic seal. We choose to be certified by the ACO - Australian Certified Organic for both the ingredients we use and also the finished products.

Q: How do I know that the People for Plants skincare range is organic?

A: The People for Plant range is certified by Australian Certified Organic (ACO), Australia’s largest certifier for organic and biodynamic produce, responsible for certifying more than 70% of the Australian organic industry.

Australian Certified Organic has two levels of certification

  • Made with organic ingredients - Greater than 75% and less than 95% excluding water.
  • Certified Organic - Greater than 95% certified organic ingredients excluding water.

We are using their recognisable logo and our individual certification number 11321 on our twenty products that are certified and this is your guarantee of quality, honesty and traceability.

Q: Why using Certified Organic ingredients?

A: Certified organic products are grown and processed without the use of synthetic chemicals, fertilisers, pesticides or GMOs.
