Calendula - Cert. Organic
The calendula flower is more commonly known as the pot marigold. It is of Mediterranean origin but grows wild around the world these days. The name, ‘Marigold’ derives from its common use in Catholic ceremonies, celebrating the Virgin Mary.
Calendula oil contains palmitic acid, stearic acid; oleic acid, linoleic acid and over 60% conjugated linolenic acid. It is also high in tocopherols (Vitamin E).
It is the petal of the calendula flower which is used in herbal treatments. It has high antioxidant value, protecting skin cells from deterioration via oxidation.
